Narrative Academies

Are you looking for ways in which your staff can more effectively, efficiently, and sustainably implement new programs or other organizational change? Are you looking to foster lasting customer relationships?

Story is a powerful, persuasive communication tool. Sharing a story helps you to establish trust, explain complex issues, clarify values, and create meaning for your listener. Certainly, you and your organization possess great stories about your positive impact. But do you remember to share these stories? Did you once hear a story, and now can’t recall all the details, so you refrain from sharing it with others? Do you sense that you might be able to share the story so that it has more impact, and is more memorable?

A Narrative Academy ™ will assist you in finding, developing, and sharing powerful stories that engage customers, achieve policy goals, and move listeners to action.

  • A practical understanding of what a story is and why it matters to your organization
  • How to find, develop, and share stories in support of your organization’s goals
  • The best ways in which to sustain the gathering and delivery of stories for use throughout your organization, in various communication vehicles.

In addition, Thaler Pekar & Partners provides you with a Narrative Leader’s Guide, outlining specific activities you can take in support of your team’s ongoing efforts. The Narrative Leader’s Guide includes sample emails, reminders, and story prompts that you can apply for six months following the delivery of the program.

As part of your Narrative Academy, Thaler Pekar & Partners can film each participant sharing his or her story – and edit the footage and provide you with short, solid videos, ready to support your organization’s marketing, sales, policy, and knowledge sharing efforts. What results is an effective and efficient investment of both time and money. Stories are elicited, perfected – and captured right then and there for immediate and future use.

The story at the top of this page was recorded at a Narrative Academy Thaler Pekar & Partners facilitated for ESB, Ireland’s largest electrical supplier.
