Tom Bergin

Tom BerginTom Bergin started his film career installing camera mounts in helicopters. Not long after, he began recording audio for CBS News, specializing in fast-moving, documentary-style journalism. Capturing sound while solving problems was paramount.

Tom says he became a soundman “to mic people and turn knobs in the pursuit of spreading knowledge”.

He has worked on many documentary features, including An Inconvenient Truth and My Architect, as well as various projects for Public Policy Productions and Maysles Films. He traveled the world to record Not My Life (on human slavery) and A Closer Walk (on AIDS).

At Thaler Pekar & Partners, Tom oversees video production and technical services, communicating with crews throughout the world and ensuring consistency of quality.
